Camry vs accord

Both the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord have long been praised for their reliability, and it may be difficult to figure out which midsize sedan is truly the better buy. This competition is going to come down to safety, maintenance, and style.

One glance at the 2015 Toyota Camry and you’ll notice its stylish, refreshed look. It has a bold grille, sleek exterior, and luxurious interior. The Accord’s design has remained untouched since it was all-new back in 2013.

Both vehicles feature 4-cylinder engines to aid in better fuel economy. The Honda Accord has the slight advantage here with an EPA-estimated 36 mpg on the highway compared to Camry’s EPA-estimated 35 mpg on the highway. Both cars also offer V6 engines and hybrid versions.

Both Camry and Accord have been awarded a 5-star safety rating for 2015 by NHTSA. However, while both vehicles are Top Safety Picks (TSPs) by IIHS, the Camry has the slight advantage here with a Top Safety Pick+ – meaning it met all the criteria for TSP, plus earned an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention.

Finally, with every new Toyota comes Toyota Care: a no cost maintenance plan for two years or 25,000 miles, and 24-hour roadside assistance for two years – regardless of miles. The Honda Accord simply does not offer this.

The competition between these two sedans really comes down to personal style preference, safety, and Toyota’s complementary maintenance coverage. If you agree with us that the Camry is the winner, stop by Markquart Toyota near Eau Claire to test drive the stylish 2015 Toyota Camry.
