40 Years of TRD Celebrated at Markquart

2019 marks 40 years of the Toyota Racing Development (TRD). Formerly known as Toyota Sports Corner, TRD has been enhancing its vehicles, products, and image since the ‘70s. Starting as a basic motorsports division, TRD took over the previous brand and created Toyota Performance vehicles and a strong brand of Toyota athletes.

After two decades of a strong racing focus, TRD created packages to add performance accessories for every day Toyota trucks. That was only the start of everything that TRD was going to do for vehicle enhancement. Today TRD packages are available for most Toyota trucks and SUVs, and within the next year, a TRD Avalon and Camry will be released.
