Redesigned 2016 Toyota RAV4 Review (Video)

There are some new looks and features for the 2016 Toyota RAV4 this model year. On the exterior, the front grille is more chiseled giving the SUV a more dynamic look. The wheels are a different style and size depending on which of the four trim levels you choose.

Under the hood of every Toyota RAV4 is the 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine producing almost 180 horsepower, and through the 6-speed transmission and EPA-estimated 30 mpg on the highway. If you want more performance and even better fuel economy, choose our hybrid version.

For this year, Toyota has really spiced up the interior of the new RAV4 with four interior color options including Cinnamon and Nutmeg. The enhanced center console provides not only access to your Entune App Suite and your voice activated navigation, but also the large back up camera display and, new for this year on the limited models, the Bird’s Eye View monitor. There are two cup holders for each one of the five passengers in the RAV4, including a revised travel mug holder up front!

The 2016 RAV4 has plenty of safety features, including 8 air bags, but the active safety features have really taken a step forward for this year – especially for the Limited model. These include Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and of course Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
