What does it mean to detail a vehicle anyway? At Markquart Toyota, when we detail your vehicle, we try to bring the car back to its original condition when you purchased your vehicle. We have four packages to choose from, ranging in price and the amount of detail done. Depending on the package you choose, we clean your car from top to bottom and inside to out.
Our most basic package is the Deluxe, which includes washing your vehicle, vacuuming it and cleaning the windows on the inside and outside. A step up from that is the Premium Package. The Premium is just like the Deluxe but also includes a shampoo of the carpet, bug removal, clean and shine of the interior, and a tire dressing.
One of our most popular packages is the Ultimate. The Ultimate includes everything that the Premium Package does, and comes with a premium exterior waxing and a degreasing of door jams. Last is the Extreme Package, which is just like the Ultimate but includes an exterior paint buff and seal that removes fine scratches and swirls, and an environmental deposit removal that gets rid of brake dust and tar, among other things.
Aside from those four levels of packages, we also offer Entire Car Protection Plus. ECP Plus includes exterior protection of headlight lenses, paint, black molding and trim, and alloy wheels, and interior protection against rips and tears that can happen over the years. For the longest time, Toyota only produced one kind of Prius, which was great in and of itself because to even offer an environmentally friendly car 10 years ago was something new. Nowadays, Toyota’s Prius family includes the Prius, Prius c, Prius v and Prius Plug-In, the first three of which are for sale at Markquart Toyota, in Eau Claire.
Prius
The standard Prius is actually the midsize model of the brand and can be recognized in a lineup by its long, arch-shaped roofline that flows from front to back. When you’re in need of an oil change, bring your vehicle to Markquart Toyota’s Auto Service and Repair Department, located near Eau Claire, WI. Not only will you receive a professional oil change and tire rotation, but you’ll also get a multipoint inspection done on your vehicle.
We begin the multipoint inspection by visually checking the engine compartment, air and cabin air filters, and wiper blades. We also check your floor mats and external vehicle lights for safety reasons. We then lift the car up to drain the oil and inspect the underside of the vehicle for leaks and damage. The suspension and steering components play a major role in keeping you safe so they, along with the brake system, fuel lines and exhaust system, are examined. When the oil is finished draining, we install a new oil filter and lower the car halfway to begin the tire rotation. With the tires off, we inspect the brake linings, calipers and rotors, and reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors. Once finished, we lower the vehicle completely, fill up the oil and other fluids, and check the transmission.
Throughout the oil change, tire rotation and multipoint inspection, we record our findings on a Toyota Quality Vehicle Inspection report. We use a color-coded system of green, yellow and red to indicate the status of parts on your vehicle: green means that it is okay while red means that things are not so great. Your Service Advisor will review the technician’s findings with you when they are done with your vehicle.

If you’ve ever been to Markquart Toyota, you’ve seen Katie Schumacher. As the receptionist for Markquart Toyota, she is the one with the warm smile and a friendly “hello,” as soon as you walk in the door, and on June 9, 2014, she celebrates her 15-year anniversary with Markquart Toyota.
After graduating from the Institute of Broadcasting Arts (IBA) with a degree in cosmetology, Katie gave back to the school as a teacher and recruiter. She did this for more than a decade before she decided to change gears in 1999, which is when she made her way to Markquart Toyota.
Originally, Katie applied for a receptionist position at Markquart Motors. She was drawn to the dealership because many of her friends worked there and they spoke highly of it, she said. Although there was not an opening for a receptionist at Motors, the position was available at Markquart Toyota and the people there knew they couldn’t pass Katie up.
Fifteen years later, Katie is still the receptionist for Toyota, but she is so much more. She is the glue that holds the ship together and keeps it sailing smoothly—lending a hand wherever she is needed. But it’s not just a one-way relationship she has with the dealership. Katie says she has learned so much over the years and has such fond memories of being here. “I am so thankful to Lee and John for giving me the opportunity to work here and for teaching me everything I know.”
When Katie’s not working at Markquart, she is keeping busy directing plays and musicals for the Chippewa Valley Theater Guild and the Heyde Center for the Arts, and hanging out with her mom, sister and goddaughters.
Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for us, Katie! We appreciate all your hard work and look forward to the next 15 years with you!
