Thank you, Tom! Tom Jakowicz has been at Markquart for 25 years and has loved every minute of it. He started his career at the Markquart Motors location as a parts associate, and after working there for three years, he moved away from the area. Once he returned to the Chippewa Valley, he was working for a local parts store when he was recruited to join the team at Markquart Toyota, and the rest is history.
For Tom, the best part about working at Markquart is the customers and coworkers. He loves helping people, and there’s never a day that he doesn’t feel like coming to work. Over his 25 years, Tom has made a lot of memories; one of his favorites is moving into the new and improved Markquart Toyota building on Commercial Blvd.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Roxann and daughter Rayna. He loves to bow hunt and holds the record for the biggest whitetail buck ever shot with a bow in Chippewa County. An interesting fact is that Tom knows how to play the guitar, and has even played with local rock bands in the past.

The 2016 Scion iA Sports Sedan is set to be Scion’s sportiest sedan ever. It features a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine and gets an EPA-estimated 42 MPG highway. This sleek, super stylish car combines the best of both the hatchback and sedan body styles with a standard 60/40 split rear seat to expand cargo capacity.
The iA is made to be fun to drive. Transmissions include the standard 6-speed manual transmission and the available 6-speed automatic transmission. Both are light weight and low friction. Everything from the suspension and framework were built to make this one agile, yet comfortable ride.
As far as safety, the 2016 Scion iA is made out of high-strength steel, and has front-side and curtain airbags to help protect its passengers. A low-speed, pre-collision system that helps the driver avoid collisions is also standard.
The standard 7-inch touch screen displays the backup camera and houses the Display Audio system - in which you can access the radio, Pandora, and your compatible mobile phone.
This highly anticipated sports-sedan is set to arrive at Markquart Toyota Scion near Eau Claire in September, and we can’t wait to test drive it with you!
