Comparing Crossovers? Why You Should Choose the Toyota RAV4
·2 min read
The RAV4 is the perfect crossover whether you are looking for AWD or cargo space. With its good looks, available technology, and safety features, the Toyota RAV4 is great for just about anyone.
If you like the gas mileage of a car, but want the visibility SUVs offer, RAV4 gets the gas mileage of some cars with an EPA-estimated 31 MPG highway. This is because the RAV4 is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder DOHC engine. But this fuel-efficient crossover doesn’t compromise on space, either. Behind the available height-adjustable power lift gate there is 73.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity with the rear seats folded flat. With the rear seats folded up, there’s still plenty of room for cargo, groceries, etc.
Your passengers are going to be comfortable and entertained in the RAV4. The available dual zone climate control system lets you and your front passenger choose separate temperatures. There is also up to 42.6 inches of from leg room and up to 37.2 inches of rear leg room. Even the rear seats recline, so passengers in the rear can sit back and enjoy the ride.
As far as technology, RAV offers two 12-volt power outlets so you can charge phones, laptops, tablets, etc. while you’re on the road. When you shift into reverse, the standard backup camera displays on the 6.1-inch touch screen. There’s also Bluetooth connectivity, available navigation, available Entune App Suite, and a USB port and audio jack to control your iPod or MP3 through the RAV4’s audio system.
All of these great features are topped off with safety and maintenance for peace of mind. Starting with ToyotaCare, which is a no-cost maintenance plan with the purchase or lease of every new Toyota vehicle for 2 years or 25,000 miles. So things like oil changes and tire rotations won’t cost you extra for the first 2 years or 25,000 miles that you own the car. Also included for the first 2 years is 24-hour roadside assistance. RAV4 comes standard with eight airbags, and the Star Safety System. If that isn’t enough, it’s good to know that over 90% of all Toyota RAV4s sold in the last ten years are still on the road.
Since the Toyota RAV4 offers a great amount of comfort, technology, safety, and fuel efficiency, it’s a great choice for anyone considering a small crossover SUV. You can get the 2015 Toyota RAV4 between Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls off Highway 53 at Markquart Toyota.

Find Answers to Your Tire Questions
As the seasons change, you should make sure your vehicle is up to the test. Learn how to check your tires, and find answers to your other tire questions from Markquart Toyota. Q: How can I tell if I need new tires? A: You can easily check your tires using The Penny test.
To test: Place your penny with Lincolns head facing down into the grooves of your tire. If you can see the top of Lincoln's head, your tires are worn, and you should get them replaced. If part of Lincoln's head is not visible inside the tread, your tires are probably fine, and you should not need them replaced this season. Repeat step 1 in multiple spots along each one of your tires to verify that the tread is consistent throughout. Q: How often do tires need to be replaced? A: The NHSTA recommends that tires be replaced every 6 years or sooner. However, your tires' wear and tear depend on how many miles you drive and road conditions. We recommended checking your tires regularly, and we will also check during each service visit. Q: How do I know which tires my vehicle needs? A: To check what type of tires your vehicle needs, you can either look at the tires currently on your vehicle or look at the driver's side door jamb, and the tire specifications are listed there. Q: How often do I need a tire rotation? A: We recommend a tire rotation every 6 months or 5,000-6,000 miles driven. We perform a tire rotation during each routine oil change.
